Maria Karagkouni

Maria brings expertise in architectural research and design to BCIstudio, contributing to retail, leisure, and mixed-use developments. Since joining in 2022, she has focused on creating integrated solutions in multidisciplinary projects. She actively engages in CPDs and has completed courses in zero carbon, green practices, and wellbeing, strengthening her commitment to sustainable design.

Maria earned her RIBA | ARB Part II with Distinction and received the Prize for Best Design Research at the University of the West of England, Bristol, following her First Class Honours and the Stefan Guiton Award for her Part I. She, also, completed a summer programme at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, allowing her to gain experience with international design principles. Maria is fluent in both English and Greek.
